Most of the info here will have something to do with free and or open source software along with tips, how-to's and whatever else I run across which I feel may be useful.
I use Open Source for almost everything now. There is a lot of misinformation out there as to the difficulty of doing that, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it really is.
Right now I am running Linux as my working operating system and my total maintenance time has dropped to nearly nothing. Mostly clicking on a "install updates" button - which is usually completed by the time I refill my coffee.
